Very nice four star hotel with mostly great value. Wonderful service,l and great staff in all departments (not obvious in Czech Republic) . Would give it four and half star review if was possible. Would not atay here in summer - no AC, and even in fall weather room got a little stuffy on sunny days. Great facilities, though some are really overpriced (like tennis), and others just an ok value (like massages). But others are free (heated pool, gym, whirlpool tubs), and facilities are open late until 2130, and a la carte restaurant until 2300, which is great! A la carte restaurant has great menu, and many of the dishes (though not all) are very very well prepared, and prices are great considering quality and level of hotel (and alcohol prices are great by any measure). Main dining room is just ok, and particularly annoying was that clean up starts before closing time, which is really unpleasent if you like to eat late breakfast/ dinner. Alao annoying was that even basic drinks are not included in price of dining room dinner. Tap water in the room was great and we used that rather than paying for same water in restaurants. Rooms are spacious, and clean, and are serviced daily, including new bathrobes and slippers daily if you want. The one we were in was a little outdated, but nothing really wrong. Bathtub was really deep which made it hard to use for both elderly and young family memebers. It is worth contacting hotel directly if youre a family because they have some creative family rooms (like separate bedroom plus main room with 3-4 singles and a large hallway with seperate bath and toilet). We stayed in the fall off-season, so cannot say anything about it as skeeing hotel.

Spa is really nicely but the staff was so rude! We got dirty towels and we even had to pay for parking… I won’t recommend it

What I didn’t like: The buffet breakfast and dinner experience was quite stressful and hectic. The staff was constantly on the move to take away used dishes. This is a problem with a buffet-style dining where you’re regularly leaving your table to get drinks, seconds, dessert, etc. If you leave a half-finished drink or food, it’s gone when you get back to the table. This was especially annoying because you have to pay for drinks during dinner. We had a semi-full bottle of sparkling water taken away while getting dessert. When we asked for it back, the staff requested to switch from Czech to English language, which was surprising in a Czech hotel. And even in English it was an effort to make them understand the situation. In the end they brought us what seemed like plain tap water as replacement, disappointing. From then on, we always split up so that one person guarded the table and the other went to get more food. Not the best experience when trying to have a relaxing meal with your partner. For breakfast, the food selection was wide and staples like eggs, breakfast sausage, fresh fruits and veg, and breads were tasty. Unfortunately, most other choices (eg. soft cheese, Maple syrup, cakes, pastries) were low-quality. The dinner buffet offered fewer choices compared to breakfast and the food quality was average to poor in some cases, with salt and sugar dominating the flavor. What I liked: The room was nice, more spacious than it seemed in the pictures. The bed was comfortable, the mattress was a bit on the softer side. The area was very quiet so we could sleep with an open window to keep the room cool in the midst of a hot summer. The hotel is also a great starting point for many different hikes. We also got a free ride on the nearby lift to Medvědín and back for every day we stayed at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even if there was a bit of a language barrier sometimes. The wellness was great with a proper hot Finnish sauna, cold pool, and beautifully decorated relaxing area. It was also nice to have breakfasts and dinners outdoors with a lovely view.

Liked this hotel very much. The furnishing in the rooms is bit old fashioned and the decore in the corridors is in 1990s style but the room was very comfortable and the services are excellent. The food was great, there is plenty to do in the hotel and they have their own atomic blast shelter from the cold war era that you can visit.

3 stars for free/paid stuff in different seasons, tap water for 2eu at dinner and terrible coffee from 20y old coffee machine at the breakfast. Would expect bit more for the money you are asking.

In my opinion it's an overrated hotel, with simple rooms and no air-conditioning, which on hot summer days makes it unbearable. The breakfast is nice, but not more than that. No espresso, unless you're willing to pay for it. There's a medium size pool, and in general the wellness center is nice. The view is beautiful, and it's very quiet around here.

Exclusive location. Good starting point for summer hiking and great for winter skiing. Clean and well maintained rooms. Very good kitchen. Many interesting activities in house like shooting range, cinema, golf simulator, bowling, swimming pool or wellness. Interesting history - built as a atom shelter for former communist goverment - ask for a tour.

The personal was not very helpful. They did not want to help with problems with their wifi. They claim this is working and is included in the price but we had no connection the entire stay. It was because our room was to far away they said. We had a sick child and really needed something to do but they did not want to help. It seems like only some rooms that are close to the router have connection. They hang up the phone when I called the reception the second time to ask if they where looking into the issue. Very arrogant attitude.
